Rating Engine replaced on my PowerTow
I replaced the motor of my PowerTow since the carb was not working correctly and it was not easy finding the parts to the old engine since they don't make them anymore. The new engine just bolted into the old holes and it works great. In a couple of pulls, it is running. I am very pleased that I made this decision.

Rating Engine Replacement
We were having trouble with the old Tekonsha engine. We tried to find engine maintenance parts but were unable to source anything for the carburetor. After calling PowerTow they recommended this engine replacement. It was very easy to install and is working like a charm. We should have done this years ago.

Rating Briggs and Stratton replacement motor
The new motor installed easily in the same hole pattern. All mounting hardware was included including the throttle control and choke cable which was already connected to the motor. The company was very careful to include everything needed to install the replacement motor. starts on the second pull every time.

Rating Engine was locked up
I called PowerTow to get a new engine for my PowerTow 40 and they sent me one, it took 5 business days to receive and once I got it I called my mechanic and he met me at the airport to install. After installation we tried to start the motor but it was locked up. We put oil and fuel in the engine, however we didn't even get that far the pull cord would only pull out 3-5 inches. We even tried to pull the spark plug thinking it might have a pressure lock. I contacted the company about the problem and they were willing to send me out a new one but I had to fight with them because I needed the new engine that week and they said the only thing they do for warranty items is mail out on the cheapest form of delivery that was provide. I told him this was a NEW engine, not warranty work. I told him that was unacceptable and I asked for a refund. He said no problem but when I hung up I remembered the reason I bought the engine from them was because they had a patent on the gear ratio so when I called back to ask for the gear ratio the guy who answered said he would mail it out on 2 day shipping. It was a waste of time to do that and get me worked up over something that should have been sent out right in the first place and shown me that this company operates with a high level of customer service. I had to pay the mechanic twice to put the new engine on again but this engine operated as it should.

Rating Replacement Engine
I purchased the replacement for the failed Tecumseh engine originally installed. Everything went together very smoothly. The only modifications I had to do was to bend the linkage to the gearbox as the rod hit the bottom of the air cleaner, and install a second hole in the handle for the new linkage. Started on first pull. Great upgrade.
