Try to stay consistent, especially with how you handle challenges. Your employees will follow that lead and it will allow them to react to these challenges more efficiently. 
  • Reinforce the value of training: The most successful corporations and businesses understand the value of training. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first week or your tenth year. There are so many things you can learn from training and it’s also a great way to break any bad habits that may be forming. For example, if someone is not putting equipment back in the right place as they are working throughout the day it could cause confusion and delays, especially if someone needs a piece of equipment and that other employee is not there to let people know where it is. To avoid this issue, it’s better to have everything marked off as far as where it goes. If an employee is not following those rules, their training will remind them of this importance. Communication: One of the most important aspects of your job is going to be to have good communication with your team as well as the state. You are managing an airfield and you cannot try to do it alone. You need to have constant communication with your team and provide them with any updates that will impact their day, especially if it could create a safety issue.
