PowerTow® Legacy Equipment Support Policy
By Northwest Mfg., Inc.
We’re proud that many of our machines are still in service 20+ years after they were built. That kind of longevity doesn’t happen by accident.
However, as equipment ages, the ability to reliably support it changes.
What Happens as Equipment Gets Older
For machines typically 15–20+ years old, customers may experience:
- Discontinued or unavailable parts
- Designs that no longer match current standards
- Limited diagnostic capability
- Repairs that become unpredictable and uneconomical
At a certain point, continued repairs are no longer a reliable or responsible solution.
Our Commitment to Customers
We focus our full parts, service, and warranty support on current production models — equipment we can confidently stand behind.
When legacy equipment reaches the end of its practical service life, we will:
- Be transparent about support limitations
- Avoid recommending repairs that don’t make financial sense
- Help customers transition to a modern replacement
This approach protects your operation from unexpected downtime and escalating costs.
Longevity matters — but reliability matters more.
Old vs New — The Real Difference
Legacy Equipment (15–20+ Years Old)
- Unknown wear and internal fatigue
- Discontinued or limited parts
- No factory warranty
- Repairs become trial-and-error
- Downtime increases over time
Current Production Equipment
- Zero wear, known baseline
- Full parts availability
- Factory warranty and support
- Designed to current standards
- Predictable operation and lifespan
The Truth
Old equipment doesn’t fail all at once.
It fails slowly, expensively, and inconveniently.
New equipment isn’t just a purchase —
it’s control over your time, costs, and reliability.
