This Privacy Policy explains how Northwest Mfg., Inc., doing business as PowerTow ("PowerTow," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit powertow.com, buy our products, fill out a form, contact us, or sign up for our emails or text messages.

We build aircraft ground support equipment in Hayden, Idaho. We treat your information the way we treat our equipment: carefully, and with the goal of earning your trust for the long haul.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. This includes your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, company name, and the details of your aircraft that you share with us (for example, aircraft type, nose wheel tire size, and how you move your aircraft). It also includes anything you tell us when you call, email, text, or message us.

Order and payment information. When you place an order, your payment is handled by our payment processors and financing partners. We do not store your full card number on our own systems. We keep a record of what you ordered, the amount, and the billing and shipping details.

Forms from Facebook and Instagram. If you fill out a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, the answers you submit are shared with us by Meta, and we use them to respond to you.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, and the website that referred you. We collect this through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Answer your questions and match you with the right tug for your aircraft
  • Process, ship, and support your orders
  • Handle warranty, returns, and customer service requests
  • Send you emails and, if you opt in, text messages about your order, our products, and PowerTow news
  • Run, secure, and improve our website and business
  • Measure and improve our advertising
  • Meet legal obligations and protect our rights

4. How we share your information

We share information only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers who help us with payment processing, financing, shipping and freight, our website and online store, email and text messaging, customer relationship management, analytics, and accounting
  • Advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, as described in Section 6
  • Legal and safety reasons, such as responding to a lawful request, enforcing our terms, or protecting people and property
  • A business transfer, such as a sale or merger of the company, in which case your information may transfer to the new owner

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share your mobile phone number or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.

5. Email and text messages

Email. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. We may still send you messages about an order you placed.

Text messages. We send marketing text messages only if you clearly agree to receive them, for example by checking a box on a form. Agreeing is never a condition of buying anything. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. After you opt out, we will send one confirmation message and then stop. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See our Terms and Conditions for the full text messaging terms.

6. Advertising, cookies, and analytics

We use cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, understand how it is used, and measure our advertising. These may include the Meta Pixel and Google tools.

We may also upload customer or lead information, such as an email address or phone number, to Meta in a scrambled (hashed) form. We do this to show our ads to people who may be interested, to avoid showing ads to existing customers, and to find similar audiences. Some state laws treat this as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can ask us to remove you from these audiences by contacting us at the email above.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can also adjust ad preferences in your Facebook, Instagram, and Google accounts. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of our site work.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your information as long as needed to serve you, support your equipment, meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements, and resolve disputes. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. How we protect your information

We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative safeguards. No website or system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is wrong
  • Delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law
  • Stop using your information for marketing

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising and the right not to be treated differently for using your rights. To make a request, email us at [privacy email address]. We may need to verify your identity before we act on a request. If we deny a request, you may be able to appeal by replying to our response.

10. Children

Our website and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Visitors from outside the United States

We are based in the United States, and your information will be processed and stored here. If you contact us or order from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to the United States.

12. Links to other sites

Our site may link to other websites, such as financing partners and social media platforms. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.
